Australian Signings for 2012

The Coaching staff & Board of the Commercial Club Bandits would like to announce the first Australian signings for the 2012 Men’s team.

The Commercial Club Bandits can today confirm the signing of 6’5” Small Forward, Ben Hollis and 6’10” Power Forward/Centre, Alex Opacic. Both guys come to the Bandits via the Waratah League (ABA) having represented both Hornsby and Bankstown respectively.

Ben will play the small forward position and also spend some time at the four spot as well, whilst Alex will play next to our import at the Power Forward position and fill some time at the Centre position for the Commercial Club Bandits. Both guys we feel will give us some added firepower in 2012 especially after the loss of local Mitch Boyce who moved away for work and these guys are hungry and wanting to make their mark on the SEABL and help improve our performances in 2012. Both guys will be relied upon to come in and work hard, lead from the front and provide us firstly with some defensive presence but also contribute heavily on the offensive end where required. We have received nothing but high praise for both guys as basketball players and a people so we are very happy and excited to have him joining our squad for 2012. Both guys will arrive in Albury/Wodonga at the start of February.
